Dataset on the concentration distribution of organic pollutants in water bodies of the Haihe River Basin from 1983 to 2017. The covered organic pollutant categories include phenols, benzenes, hydrocarbons, nitriles, ketones, ethers, organochlorine pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), antibiotics, phthalate esters, pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs), estrogens, synthetic musks, endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), perfluorinated compounds, organophosphorus pesticides, and organophosphorus flame retardants. This dataset contains the following data fields: first-level basin name, second-level basin name, surface water body name, sampling area, sampling site, point location name, point coordinates (longitude, latitude), sampling time, sampling hydrological period (high flow period, normal flow period, low flow period), sampling item (water), water sampling layer and unit, sampling information notes (pH, dissolved oxygen, TOC), pollutant CAS number, pollutant category, subordinate subcategory, pollutant name, concentration value (maximum, minimum, average, median) and unit, standard deviation, pretreatment method, analytical method, main instrument name, detection limit, quality control measures, analytical information notes (instrument conditions), data source (author, paper title, journal name, publication year, volume, issue, page number), data compilation time, data compilation unit, data sharing or usage restrictions, compilation personnel, and review personnel. The dataset has a total of 11758 valid records and is fully open for sharing.
