Rampant loss of social traits during domestication of a wild Bacillus subtilis

Bacillus subtilis BSP1 was cultured in the laboratory media LB for 16 days. At day 8, a clone from population 1 was isolated and their whole-genome sequenced. A clone of the Ancestral population was also whole-genome sequenced. This project aimed to understand the pace and genetic basis of the domestication of natural isolates into the laboratory environment.

枯草芽孢杆菌（Bacillus subtilis）BSP1在LB培养基中培养16天。培养至第8天时，从种群1中分离得到一株克隆菌株，并对其进行全基因组测序。同时，还对祖先种群的一株克隆菌株进行了全基因组测序。本研究旨在阐明天然分离株向实验室环境驯化的进程与遗传基础。
