Vascular endothelial cell senescence is closely linked to vascular aging and aging-related diseases, such as cardiovascular disease. DHCR24 catalyzes desmosterol's conversion to cholesterol and has been reported to inhibit oxidative stress and inflammation correlated with cellular senescence. However, the relationship between DHCR24 and cellular senescence remains unclear. Consequently, this study investigates the role of DHCR24 in doxorubicin-induced vascular endothelial cell senescence.

血管内皮细胞衰老与血管衰老及心血管疾病等衰老相关疾病密切相关。24-脱氢胆固醇还原酶(DHCR24)可催化链甾醇(desmosterol)转化为胆固醇,且已有研究表明其能够抑制与细胞衰老相关的氧化应激与炎症反应。然而,目前DHCR24与细胞衰老之间的关联仍不明确。为此,本研究探究了DHCR24在多柔比星诱导的血管内皮细胞衰老中的作用。
