The lung microbiota of lung transplant recipients has proven to be unique compared to the health population, and associate with graft function. The objective of the study was to compare the lung microbiota in lung transplant recipients with pneumocystis jirovecii (P. jirovecii) pneumonia (PJP) and colonization (PJC) and identify the differences in their microbiota composition.
