Effect of FOXA1 overexpression in prostate cancer. Homo sapiens

FOXA1 is a transcription factor which aids AR function in prostate. There is controversary over the effect of high FOXA1 level has on prostate cancer so we forced the overexpression in the LNCaP prostate cancer cell line. Overall design: LNCaP prostate cancer cell line was transfected with GFP control plasmid or plasmid containing FOXA1 full length cDNA. The effect on gene expression was assessed by microarray.

FOXA1是一种辅助前列腺组织中雄激素受体（Androgen Receptor，AR）发挥功能的转录因子。目前针对高FOXA1表达水平对前列腺癌的影响尚存学术争议，为此我们在LNCaP前列腺癌细胞系中强制过表达FOXA1。整体实验设计：将LNCaP前列腺癌细胞系分别转染绿色荧光蛋白（Green Fluorescent Protein，GFP）对照质粒，以及携带FOXA1全长互补DNA（complementary DNA，cDNA）的质粒，通过基因芯片（microarray）技术评估其对基因表达的影响。
