Although the use of different frames in health-related communication have been found to alternatively persuade individuals to adopt certain behaviors, limited research has compared whether context-transcendent and context-specific frames are more persuasive and explored the interaction effects between these two frames on health behavior adoption. Focusing on facial yoga as the health behavior of interest, the study examines the influence of appearance- and health-framed messages, utilizing a 2 x 2 between-subjects factorial design with data from 117 undergraduate female Instagram users. The results reveal that female students' attitudes toward facial yoga are influenced by gain and loss frames, while intentions are influenced by both context-specific and context-transcendent frames. Notably, health-gain-framed messages exhibit the strongest influence on people's intention to adopt facial yoga.
尽管已有研究证实,健康传播中运用不同框架可差异化引导个体采纳特定健康行为,但目前鲜有研究对比超语境框架(context-transcendent frames)与语境特定框架(context-specific frames)何者更具说服力,亦未探讨二者在健康行为采纳过程中的交互效应。本研究以面部瑜伽为目标健康行为,采用2×2组间因子实验设计,采集117名女性本科Instagram用户的相关数据,检验外貌导向框架与健康导向框架信息的影响效应。研究结果表明,女性学生对面部瑜伽的态度受获益框架与损失框架的影响,而其行为意向则同时受到语境特定框架与超语境框架的调控。尤为值得关注的是,健康获益框架信息对个体采纳面部瑜伽的行为意向具有最强的影响效应。
