Psychophysics data of soft pressure by textile for young adults to determine the perception thresholds of force, pressure and reduction

This dataset contains the raw data collected during psychophysical studies into the effect of surface area of pressure by a soft actuator on the lower and upper arm. The data was collected during two psychophysical studies in the lab where participants placed their arm in a motorized ribbon set-up which contracted to present participants with pressure stimuli of various forces and surface area. Participants wore noise-canceling headphones and a barrier prevented them from seeing their arm in the set-up. Participants indicated whether they felt the stimulus or not. The data of the firststudy was logged in.txt files using Processing and can be found in the Pilot_Left_Rigt.zip. The second study was logged by psychopy in a .txt file and a .nmpy file for each participant.

本数据集收录了两项心理物理学研究（psychophysical studies）采集的原始数据，研究旨在探究软体驱动器（soft actuator）产生的压力接触面积对人体前臂与上臂的影响。两项实验均于实验室开展：参与者将手臂置于电动带状装置中，该装置通过收缩向参与者施加不同力度与接触面积的压力刺激。参与者佩戴降噪耳机（noise-canceling headphones），实验装置设有遮挡结构，避免参与者看到自身手臂。参与者需报告是否感知到该压力刺激。第一项研究的数据通过Processing软件记录为TXT格式文件，相关内容存储于Pilot_Left_Rigt.zip压缩包内。第二项研究的数据由PsychoPy软件记录，每位参与者对应生成一个TXT文件与一个.nmpy文件。
