Landshift Living Earth land cover product v1

Annual 10 m land cover products (2020–2024) for the five Living Spaces of the Horizon Europe LandShift project, i.e., Occitanie (France), Basilicata (Italy), Mazovia (Poland), Kyiv (Ukraine), and Eastern Macedonia-Thrace (Greece). The mapping approach is based on the Living Earth framework (https://doi.org/10.1080/20964471.2021.1948179), a novel methodology designed to capture the state and dynamics of land cover in a consistent and comparable manner, according to the FAO LCCS v2. The 2020–2024 annual land cover products (v1) consist of three bands: Band 1 is the broad 'Level 3' land cover class, Band 2 the lifeform (1: woody; 2: herbaceous), and Band 3 the leaf type (1: broadleaved; 2: needle-leaved). These products are part of Milestone 3 of the Horizon Europe LandShift project.
