Microvolume DNA Extraction Methods for Microscale Amplicon and Metagenomic Studies

Here we present and validate two novel microvolume DNA extraction techniques that employ either i) physical or ii) chemical lysis to rupture cells, facilitating accurate assessment of the taxonomic composition and functional potential of microbial assemblages from samples as little as 1 microliter of seawater.本研究提出并验证了两种新型微量体积DNA提取技术，二者分别采用物理裂解与化学裂解方式实现细胞破裂，可实现仅需1微升海水样本即可对微生物群落的分类组成与功能潜能进行精准评估。
