Brassinosteroids (BRs) are a type of sterol plant hormone. Previous studies have shown that brassinosteroids play an important role in a series of biochemical reactions, such as promoting cell growth, increasing biomass, and improving stress resistance. In order to investigate the regulation and molecular mechanism of BRs on the growth and development of tea plants (Camellia sinensis L.), the changes in the cell structure and gene expression levels of tea leaves treated by exogenous brassinosteroids were analyzed using electron microscopy and high-throughput Illumina RNA-Seq technology. The results of qRT-PCR were consistent with the results of transcriptomic analysis. The present work was helpful for further understanding the effects of BRs on the growth and development of tea leaves and laid the foundation for the in-depth analysis of the signal transduction pathways of BRs in tea leaves.

油菜素内酯(Brassinosteroids,BRs)是一类甾醇类植物激素。既往研究表明,油菜素内酯可参与诸多生化反应并发挥关键调控作用,例如促进细胞生长、提升生物量以及增强植株抗逆性。为探究油菜素内酯对茶树(Camellia sinensis L.)生长发育的调控作用与分子机制,本研究采用电子显微镜与高通量Illumina RNA测序技术,对外源油菜素内酯处理后的茶树叶片的细胞结构变化与基因表达水平进行了分析。实时荧光定量PCR(qRT-PCR)的检测结果与转录组分析结果高度一致。本研究有助于进一步明晰油菜素内酯对茶树叶片生长发育的调控效应,同时为深入解析茶树叶片中油菜素内酯的信号转导通路奠定了研究基础。
