Used the resulting ENSO-related wind stress fields to force a linear ocean model (LOM), generating two experiments: LOM-ENSO (forced by ENSO-related wind stress) and LOM-ENSO-noIOD (forced by ENSO-noIOD-related stress). The model domain encompasses the tropical IO north of 29°S and incorporates a realistic IO basin. The model integration from January 1979 to December 2020 using monthly ERA5 wind stress. The variable is monthly subsurface zonal velocity (Unit: cm s-1).
