PHIDU - Premature Mortality - Sex (PHA) 2011-2015

This dataset, released July 2018, contains Deaths of males aged 0 to 74 years, 2011 to 2015; Deaths of females aged 0 to 74 years, 2011 to 2015; Total deaths, 0 to 74 years, 2011 to 2015. The data is by Population Health Area (PHA) 2016 geographic boundaries based on the 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS).\n\n[Population Health Areas](http://phidu.torrens.edu.au/help-and-information/about-our-data/geographical-structures/pha-overview), developed by PHIDU, are comprised of a combination of whole SA2s and multiple (aggregates of) SA2s, where the SA2 is an area in the ABS structure.\n\nFor more information please see the [data source notes](http://www.phidu.torrens.edu.au/current/data/sha-aust/notes/phidu_data_sources_notes.pdf) on the data. \n\nSource: Data compiled by PHIDU from deaths data based on the 2011 to 2015 Cause of Death Unit Record Files supplied by the Australian Coordinating Registry and the Victorian Department of Justice, on behalf of the Registries of Births, Deaths and Marriages and the National Coronial Information System. The population at the small area level is the ABS Estimated Resident Population (ERP), 30 June 2011 to 30 June 2015, Statistical Areas Level 2; the population standard is the ABS ERP for Australia, 30 June 2011 to 30 June 2015.\n\n AURIN has spatially enabled the [original data](https://phidu.torrens.edu.au/social-health-atlases/data#social-health-atlas-of-australia-population-health-areas).
