Gram-Negative Enterobacterales from Paediatric Infections, Mali (2005-2023)"

This study retrospectively analyses data from a paediatric hospital in Bamako, Mali, focusing on bloodstream and sterile site infections caused by non-Salmonella Gram-negative Enterobacterales. The dataset includes children hospitalised between 2005 and 2023 with fever (=39°C) or suspected invasive bacterial infections. Blood cultures and other sterile site cultures were collected as clinically indicated. Bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) were performed using standard disk diffusion methods. This study provides whole sequence genomic data on isolated pathogens, contributing to the understanding of antimicrobial resistance trends in paediatric Gram-negative bacteraemia in West Africa.

本研究对马里巴马科某儿童医院的临床数据开展回顾性分析，聚焦于非沙门氏菌革兰氏阴性肠杆菌科（non-Salmonella Gram-negative Enterobacterales）引发的血流感染与无菌部位感染。本数据集纳入2005年至2023年间住院的儿童，纳入标准为体温≥39℃或疑似侵袭性细菌感染。研究人员按照临床指征采集血液培养标本及其他无菌部位培养标本，采用标准纸片扩散法完成细菌鉴定与抗菌药物敏感性试验（Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing, AST）。本研究附带分离病原菌的全基因组序列数据，有助于加深对西非儿童革兰氏阴性菌菌血症中抗菌药物耐药性流行趋势的认知。
