Water chemistry for samples collected in 2015 from streams (n = 6), rain barrels (n = 2), direct mine water discharge (n = 2), and springs (n = 2) in Porgera, Papua New Guinea. Field measurements of pH, alkalinity, conductivity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen are included for 52 additional water sources measured in 2015. Geochemical data are also included for water samples collected in January 2016 from a dam lake, two rain barrels, three springs, one creek downstream of the mine, as well as field measurements from eight additional sites. Water samples for geochemical analyses were analyzed for trace metals and major anions.
