The combination of insitu measurements from the Juno spacecraft and remoteXray observations have provided tantalising clues towards the processes thatpermit rapidlyrotating magnetised bodies to produce Xray aurora. Since Junodoes not carry an Xray instrument, AO 18 presents unique opportunities whichmay definitively identify the acceleration process/es that allow Jupiter toproduce Xray aurorae. We will\\:1. Identify whether magnetic unloading triggersthe Xray aurora by testing for correlations between Xray auroral emissions andsimultaneous Juno measurements of the plasma sheet. 2.
