Asynchrony in the dynamics of chironomids across six locations in northeastern Iceland

The objective of this study was to determine whether chironomid abundances fluctuated synchronously across five subarctic lakes in northeastern Iceland. Specifically, we wished to determine whether chironomid dynamics were more influenced by localized lake-specific drivers or more regional (climatic or dispersal) drivers. This dataset includes 18 years of sample data from the lakes and three years of the same data identified to the species-level.

本研究旨在探究冰岛东北部5个亚北极湖泊中摇蚊（Chironomid）的丰度是否存在同步波动现象。具体而言，本研究拟明确摇蚊种群动态更易受湖泊专属的局地驱动因子影响，还是受区域（气候或扩散）驱动因子调控。本数据集包含上述湖泊的18年采样数据，以及其中3年数据的物种级鉴定结果。
