Collapse-scar bog expansion rates at our sites were not related to feature size and may have been more influenced by local factors.In contrast to other studies from Interior Alaska, we did not find large losses of C with permafrost thaw.Along with other factors of time, the timing of permafrost aggradation relative to the timing of peat accumulation is important in determining how much carbon is lost with thaw.
