Scan frequency and timing in relation to performance in elite youth female football players during 11v11 match play

The dataset presented here was used for the statistical analysis of the study "Scan frequency and timing in relation to performance in elite youth female football players during 11v11 match play". It contains event-based observations of scanning behavior and subsequent on-ball actions during 11v11 match play from 39 elite youth female players competing in two Swiss U19 women's national league teams. The study investigates how scanning frequency and the scan timing relate to subsequent action performance. The dataset includes variables describing scanning behavior, contextual match information and performance outcomes. The detailed experimental protocol and the full findings are reported in the study “Scan frequency and timing in relation to performance in elite youth female football players during 11v11 match play”.
