Bacterial microbiome associated with Common bean, Phaseolus vulgaris L., grown in Pacific Northwest in 2024

In this study, we evaluated 16 common bean cultivars spanning 77 years of breeding history to investigate how genotype, soil N availability, and environmental conditions affect plant growth, N fixation, and the composition of root-associated bacterial communities. Field trials were conducted over two consecutive growing seasons under differing soil fertility conditions, particularly N availability.

本研究选取覆盖77年育种历史的16个普通菜豆栽培品种，以探究基因型、土壤氮素有效性及环境条件对植株生长、固氮作用以及根际细菌群落组成的影响。研究于连续两个生长季内，在不同土壤肥力条件（尤其是氮素有效性）下开展田间试验。
