These are the data corresponding to the publication "Leaf heat tolerance of 147 tropical forest species varies with elevation and leaf functional traits, but not with phylogeny" by Slot, Cala, Aranda, Virgo, Michaletz and Winter, published in Plant, Cell & Environment in 2021.Samples were collected from plants growing in six regions in the Republic of Panama. Leaf discs were incubated for 15 minutes at different temperatures in a water bath, and after 24 hours the maximum over variable chlorophyll fluorescence (Fv/Fm) was measured. Species names were checked against Kew's Plants of the World database, at: http://powo.science.kew.org/

本数据集对应Slot、Cala、Aranda、Virgo、Michaletz与Winter于2021年发表于《Plant, Cell & Environment》的论文《147种热带森林物种的叶片耐热性随海拔与叶片功能性状变化,而非随系统发育关系改变》(Leaf heat tolerance of 147 tropical forest species varies with elevation and leaf functional traits, but not with phylogeny)。样本采集自巴拿马共和国六个区域的植株。将叶圆片置于水浴锅中的不同温度条件下孵育15分钟,24小时后测定其最大可变叶绿素荧光(maximum over variable chlorophyll fluorescence, Fv/Fm)。物种名称均通过英国皇家植物园邱园(Kew)的《世界植物在线》(Plants of the World)数据库进行校验,校验网址为:http://powo.science.kew.org/
