Plants can synthesize a wide range of terpenoids in response to various environmental cues. However, the specific regulatory mechanisms governing terpenoid biosynthesis at the cellular level remain largely elusive. Herein, we employed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to comprehensively characterize the transcriptome profile of cotton leaves and established a hierarchical transcriptional network regulating cell-specific terpenoid production. 植物可响应各类环境信号合成种类繁多的萜类化合物(terpenoids)。然而,在细胞水平上调控萜类生物合成的具体机制仍未得到充分阐明。本研究采用单细胞RNA测序(single-cell RNA sequencing,scRNA-seq)对棉花叶片的转录组谱进行了全面解析,并构建了调控细胞特异性萜类合成的层级转录调控网络。实验整体设计:基于棉花叶片的单细胞RNA测序数据开展基因表达谱分析。
