Quantifying chromosomal instability from intratumoral karyotype diversity

Despite the the likely prognostic significance of chromosomal instability in cancer, current measures of chromosomal instability are challenging to implement in patient tumors. The goal of this study is to characterize the diversity of single-cell karyotypes within a population of cells, including cells treated with paclitaxel to enable the development of new measures of chromosomal instability.

尽管染色体不稳定性（chromosomal instability）在癌症中可能具备预后意义，但目前的染色体不稳定性检测手段难以在患者肿瘤组织中落地应用。本研究旨在解析细胞群体内单细胞核型（single-cell karyotypes）的多样性，涵盖经紫杉醇（paclitaxel）处理的细胞，以期开发全新的染色体不稳定性检测方法。
