INSTRE

INSTRE is a benchmark for instance-level visual object retrieval and recognition. It has the following key characteristics: (1) Balanced data scale; (2) More diverse intra-class instance variations; (3) Cluttered and less contextual background; (4) Object localization annotations for each image; (5) Carefully crafted paired labeled images for evaluating scenarios with multiple objects within a single image. The entire dataset is divided into three disjoint subsets: INSTRE-S1 (for single-object scenario 1), INSTRE-S2 (for single-object scenario 2), and INSTRE-M (for multi-object scenario). Both INSTRE-S1 and INSTRE-S2 are collected for single-object scenario assessment, and each contains 100 object classes. INSTRE-S1 consists of 11,011 images, while INSTRE-S2 includes 12,059 images.
