X-ray Observations of Three Millisecond Pulsars

We propose XMMNewton EPIC pn observations of three rapidly rotating neutronstars\\: PSR J09520607, PSR J1810+1744, and PSR J22415236, for 50, 80 and 50 ksrespectively. Through these observations, we will for the first time establishthe detailed Xray spectral properties of these pulsars. This will allow us toput stringent constraints on the surface emission of these pulsars, which wewill use to limit rmode oscillations in these sources. Such constraints areimportant to learn about the interior composition of these sources as well as togauge the prospects of continuous gravitational wave astronomy. PSR J1810+1744is scheduled for observation with XMMNewton on 10/16/2017 and can bedisregarded in the present proposal if this observation is successfully performed. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
