VPRS 5524 Index to Body Cards

This series was created to index Body Cards (VPRS 10010). Before June 1986 Body Cards pertained to deceased persons received at the Melbourne Coroners Court, whilst after June 1986 they pertained to every reportable death in Victoria as specified by sections 3 and 15 of the Coroners Act 1985.In 2003 some of the consignments were reserialised with the objective of forming a sequence of 'original' indexes and a set of duplicates (facsimiles) for reference in the Reading Room, Victorian Archives Centre. This is the reason that the Series Consignment Date Range of some consignments is 2003.

本系列旨在为尸体卡片（VPRS 10010）建立索引。1986年6月前，尸体卡片适用于墨尔本死因裁判法院接收的已故人员；1986年6月后，其适用范围扩展至《1985年死因裁判法》第3条和第15条规定的维多利亚州所有应报告死亡事件。2003年，部分批次档案被重新编号，以形成一套“原始”索引序列及一套供维多利亚档案馆中心阅览室查阅的副本（facsimiles）。这正是部分批次档案的“系列批次日期范围（Series Consignment Date Range）”为2003年的原因。
