Metagenomic analysis of social status loss

Gut microbiota can sense stress and contribute to brain diseases, so we considered that the gut microbiota plays an important role in stress responses induced by social status loss. We reported metagenomic analysis results of mice with loss of social status and found that loss of dominance can change the composition and function of the gut microbiota, especially butanoate metabolism.

肠道菌群（gut microbiota）可感知应激并参与脑部疾病的发生发展，因此我们认为肠道菌群在社会地位丧失诱导的应激反应中发挥重要作用。本研究报道了社会地位丧失小鼠的宏基因组（metagenomic）分析结果，发现优势地位丧失可改变肠道菌群的组成与功能，尤以丁酸代谢（butanoate metabolism）为著。
