Hybridisation is a common evolutionary process in the genus Diphasiastrum (Lycopodiaceae) that can lead to new species. The project investigates hybridisation between the species D. alpinum and D. sitchense, which occur in Kamchatka, Russia, using a genotyping by sequencing approach. Furthermore, it will be investigated whether the resulting F1 hybrids are the final product or whether backcrossing with the parent species can happen, which in turn can lead to introgression.

杂交是扁枝石松属(Diphasiastrum,石松科Lycopodiaceae)内一类常见的演化过程,可催生新物种。本研究聚焦俄罗斯堪察加半岛分布的高山扁枝石松(D. alpinum)与锡特卡扁枝石松(D. sitchense)的杂交现象,采用测序分型(genotyping by sequencing)技术开展实验。此外,本研究还将进一步探讨所得F1代杂交种是否为最终演化产物,以及是否会发生与亲本物种的回交事件——此类回交进而可引发渐渗现象。
