The SAXS/SANS platform a the Partnership for Structural Biology

This proposal seeks time on BM29 to allow joint SAXS and SANS measurements to be carried out as part of the PSB SAXS/SANS platform. The BAG services this user-platform by allowing the allocation of SAXS beamtime in connection to SANS measurements so that full advantage of co-location of SAXS and SANS facilities on the EPN can be provided to users. The scientific case for each joint request is evaluated by the ILL review committees of its Scientific Council and the allocation of time for successful proposals coordinated between the ILL and ESRF user offices.

本提案申请使用BM29光束线，以开展联合小角X射线散射（Small-Angle X-ray Scattering, SAXS）与小角中子散射（Small-Angle Neutron Scattering, SANS）测量，作为PSB SAXS/SANS用户平台的组成部分。光束线分配工作组（BAG）为该用户平台提供支撑服务，通过为关联小角中子散射测量的小角X射线散射申请分配光束机时，使研究者可充分利用欧洲光子与中子设施（EPN）上两类散射设施共址的优势。针对每项联合申请的科学合理性，将由劳厄-朗之万研究所（Institut Laue-Langevin, ILL）科学理事会下属的评审委员会开展评估；获批提案的机时分配事宜，则由ILL与欧洲同步辐射装置（European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, ESRF）的用户办公室协同推进。
