Genome sequencing project for genomic taxonomy and phylogenomics of Lonicera macranthoides

Lonicera macranthoides, a wide-spread member of the Caprifoliaceae (honeysuckle) family, is usually applied for treatment of heat-clearing, detoxifying, and treat the exopathogenic wind-heat. Secondary metabolites contribute to its pharmacological activities. To identify genes involving in important metabolites biosynthesis, we report a chromosome-level genome assembly of L. macranthoides.

大花忍冬（Lonicera macranthoides）是忍冬科（Caprifoliaceae，honeysuckle）中分布广泛的物种，常被用于清热、解毒及治疗外感风热。其次生代谢产物赋予其药理活性。为鉴定参与重要代谢产物生物合成的相关基因，本研究报道了大花忍冬的染色体级基因组组装结果。
