Gene screening to control GAGsi silencing. Saccharomyces cerevisiae BY4741

Budding yeast retrotransposon Ty1 harbors heterochromatin nucleation domain named as GAGsi. This project aims to isolate genes to control GAGsi silencing effect. To screen genes of target, we performed WGSs of four EMS-treated HMY1605 budding yeast strains and no-treated HMY1605.

酿酒酵母（Budding yeast）的逆转录转座子Ty1（retrotransposon Ty1）含有一个被命名为GAGsi的异染色质成核结构域（heterochromatin nucleation domain）。本项目旨在分离可调控GAGsi沉默效应的基因。为筛选目标基因，我们对4株经乙基甲磺酸（EMS）处理的HMY1605酿酒酵母菌株以及未处理的HMY1605菌株开展了全基因组测序（WGS）。
