Eating disorders patient numbers in China 1990-2019

A study estimated that almost 1.5 million people were suffering from eating disorders in China in 2019. Although less common in comparison to other mental health conditions such as depression or anxiety disorders, eating disorders is posing an even stronger challenge to the Chinese mental healthcare service, as the number of patients increased by more than 60 percent since 1990.一项研究估计，截至2019年，中国约有150万人患有饮食失调。相较于抑郁或焦虑等心理健康状况，饮食失调在中国心理健康服务领域所带来的挑战更为严峻，因为自1990年以来，患者数量已增长超过60%。
