A vanA vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium ST80 outbreak resulting from a single importation event

Using whole genome sequencing (WGS), we analysed our stored 2009-2018 vanA isolates to explore this genotype-replacement event in the context of Australian surveillance data for VRE so as to better understand the significance of their isolation in a local and broader context.

本研究采用全基因组测序（whole genome sequencing, WGS）技术，对本实验室保存的2009-2018年vanA型分离株进行分析，结合澳大利亚耐万古霉素肠球菌（vancomycin-resistant enterococci, VRE）监测数据，探究此次基因型替换事件，以期更深入地理解此类分离株在本地及更广范围内的分离检出意义。
