Diversity of oral microbiome of women from urban and rural areas of Indonesia

The variations in microbial compositions in different cultural backgrounds have previously been investigated in a number of countries. However, to our knowledge, there are no studies performed to examine the effect of geographical, socio-economic factors on the oral health and oral microbiome in Indonesia. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the oral health and oral microbiomes isolated from the tongue samples of healthy urban- and rural-dwelling Indonesian women.

此前已有多项研究针对不同文化背景下的微生物群落组成差异展开探讨。然而据我们所知，目前尚无研究探讨地理、社会经济因素对印度尼西亚人群口腔健康与口腔微生物组（oral microbiome）的影响。因此本研究旨在探究健康印度尼西亚城乡女性居民舌部样本的口腔健康状况，以及从该类样本中分离得到的口腔微生物组。
