The data is made up of acoustic parameters for calls of wild tungara frog males calling in choruses of various sizes. Entire call bouts were recorded (using WM-D6C Sony tape recorder and a Sennheiser ME-66 shotgun microphone) for 24 males from beginning to end, and were then processed with SIGNAL (http://www.engdes.com/) to extract amplitude and spectral charactersitics for every call for that bout. Additionally, the number of males calling within 1m of the recorded focal male, the snout-vent-length and weight of the focal male, and air and water temperature where the focal male was calling were all recorded.

本数据集包含野生雄性泡蟾(Túngara frog)在不同规模鸣唱集群中发出的鸣唱声学参数。研究人员采用索尼WM-D6C磁带录音机与森海塞尔ME-66枪式麦克风,对24只雄性泡蟾的完整鸣唱序列进行了全程录制;随后借助SIGNAL软件(http://www.engdes.com/)处理录制素材,提取出每条鸣唱的振幅与频谱特征。此外,研究人员还同步记录了以下信息:聚焦录制个体1米范围内的鸣唱雄性数量、该个体的吻肛长与体重,以及其鸣唱时所处环境的空气温度与水温。
