Ultra High speed imaging of dynamic fracture in transparent Spinel ceramic. The videos where film at frame rate of 2,5,7.5 and 8 milion frame per second. The Spinel bar, 3mm thick, is standing upright and unsupported. It is shock-loaded by a steel bar (Hopkinson) on the right hand side. The crack is initiated at the opposite left side, which is in tension.
透明尖晶石陶瓷(Spinel ceramic)动态断裂过程的超高速成像数据集。本次采集的视频帧率分别为200万、500万、750万及800万帧每秒。实验所用的尖晶石陶瓷棒厚度为3mm,呈直立无支撑状态。试样右侧通过钢杆(霍普金森杆,Hopkinson)施加冲击载荷。裂纹萌生于与之相对的左侧受拉区域。
