Photograph of Private Frederick Herbert Glew (2)

A damaged photo of my grandfather and the digital repair.
He survived the war and died in 1942.
I only know that he was at the Somme and may have been gassed but know no other information.

Editor's Comment:
Pte. Glew is wearing the belt from the Pattern 1888 (Slade Wallace) equipment, and has cloth shoulder titles indicating his unit, but unfortunately, these cannot be read.

祖父的一张受损照片及其数字化修复版本。
他在战争中幸存，于1942年逝世。
我仅知晓他曾服役于索姆河（Somme）地区，且可能遭受过毒气攻击，但其余信息皆无从得知。

列兵格莱（Pte. Glew）身着1888式（Slade Wallace）装备的腰带，肩部佩戴的布制部队标识可表明其所属单位，但遗憾的是，这些标识无法辨认。
