Dataset Supporting "Physical and Chemical Distinctions Between In-situ Crystallized and Detrital Olivine"
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains chemical and textural data underpinning the results presented in Dimarco Z. et al., Physical and Chemical Distinctions Between In-situ Crystallized and Detrital Olivine, a manuscript submitted to Journal of Geophysical Research: Planets. The multimodal characterization of terrestrial analogue samples included laboratory µXRF using an IXRF ATLAS X (IXRF Systems) housed at the Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis, The University of Queensland. Pixel-wise µXRF element intensity data was extracted from chromite grains in each terrestrial analogue sample. The dataset comprises semi-quantitative elemental intensity measurements of Co, V, Ti, Cr, Fe, and Mn that were used for principal component analysis (PCA) of intra-grain geochemical variability. Quantitative textural data were generated using a multimodal image-fusion approach combining optical microscopy and AMICS-SEM mineral maps. Fused images were analysed in Fiji (Analyze Particles function). Resultant grain scale textural metrics for each sample are included in this repository.
