Soil microbiome of mandarin orange orchards across Japan

This project collected soil microbiome data from farmers' mandarin orange orchards across Japan. The effects of different cultivation methods that are categorized by pesticide and fertilizer application practices were estimated by controlling confounding using a statistical method, inverse probability weighting based on propensity score. This analysis detected many significant changes by the cultivation methods compared to a local-scale paired-fields comparison.

本项目采集了日本全国范围内农户柑橘园的土壤微生物组（soil microbiome）数据。本研究采用基于倾向得分的逆概率加权（inverse probability weighting based on propensity score）这一统计方法控制混杂因素，对以农药与肥料施用方式划分的不同栽培模式的效应进行了评估。相较于局域尺度的配对田间对比分析，本次分析检测到了更多由栽培模式引发的显著变化。
