Weaning Piglet Gut Microbiome. Weaning piglet gut microbiome

The effect of weaning age on the piglet gut microbiome was evaluated by collecting fecal swabs from piglets and sows. Piglets were weaned at 14 days, 21 days or 28 days and fecal swabs were collected from day four until the pigs reached market weight. Fecal swabs from the sows were taken from day zero and at each weaning date.

本研究通过采集仔猪与母猪的粪便拭子，评估断奶日龄对仔猪肠道微生物组（gut microbiome）的影响。仔猪分别于14日龄、21日龄或28日龄实施断奶，自断奶后第4日起直至商品猪达到市场出栏体重，持续采集其粪便拭子。母猪的粪便拭子则于实验第0日及各断奶日龄进行采集。
