Both partner of romantic couples took part in a facial emotion recognition task and received false feedback that they had done poorly. During this task, they were either touch by their partner, an opposite-gender stranger or not touched (control condition). We assessed baseline and post-test affective state and cardiovascular activity (heart rate frequency and variability).
