Ecoli DC10B was genetically modified to express different methyltransferases originating from S. xylosus.Six different versions of Ecoli Dc10B, all encoding another MTase resulted. PacBio sequencing and subsequent base modification analysis shall now reveal the methylation patterns of the expressed Methyltransferases.

本研究对大肠杆菌（E. coli）DC10B进行基因工程改造，使其表达源自木糖葡萄球菌（S. xylosus）的不同甲基转移酶。最终获得6株不同的大肠杆菌DC10B变体，每株均编码一种额外的甲基转移酶（MTase）。后续将通过PacBio测序与碱基修饰分析，揭示所表达甲基转移酶的甲基化模式。
