Microbiome of the Neptune's Cup Sponge, Cliona patera

Tissue samples were collected from 6 Cliona patera sponges from the Sisters' Island Marine Park. Three tissue samples were collected from each sponge, on from the interior wall of the atrium, from the exterior of the sponge, and from the stem. We conducted amplicon sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene to characterize the microbiome.

本研究从姐妹岛海洋公园（Sisters' Island Marine Park）的6个帕特拉穿孔海绵（Cliona patera）个体中采集组织样本。每个海绵均采集3份组织样本，分别取自其中央腔内壁、海绵体表以及茎部。随后，我们对16S核糖体RNA（16S rRNA）基因开展扩增子测序（amplicon sequencing），以表征其微生物组（microbiome）。
