By utilization of high-throughput sequencing (MinION platform) deteriorating microbial communities colonizing various buried objects and funeral textile items found on the body burried under the presbytery of the basilica of St. Giles in Bardejov (Slovakia)can be identified. Several buried items, mainly diverse textile objects found on the body should be restored in order to set up a permanent exibition of the finds discovered during the various archaeological studies. The surfaces of buried items seemed to have biodeterioration phenomena and this project was focused on the idetification and characterization of bideteriogens by high-throughput sequencing.

本研究采用高通量测序(high-throughput sequencing,MinION平台),对斯洛伐克巴捷约夫市圣吉尔斯宗座圣殿司祭区下方墓葬内遗体及其附着的各类埋藏文物与丧葬纺织品表面的定殖致劣微生物群落进行鉴定。本次多项考古发掘出土的诸多埋藏文物(以遗体上发现的各类纺织品为主)需开展修复工作,以设立永久性出土文物展览。鉴于该批埋藏文物表面均存在生物劣化(biodeterioration)现象,本项目核心目标为通过高通量测序技术对致劣微生物(biodeteriogens)进行鉴定与特征表征。
