The project was started to prevent young women to leave Bremanger municipality, as they had done the last ten years, and to try to stimulate the conditions so that those who had moved, would move back. Vestlandsforskning, assigned by the Sogn og Fjordane County Council, gathered information about among other things work training wishes of women in Bremanger, the competence demands of the businesses, evaluation and recommendation of work training of current interest that united the wishes of work training and the needs of competence, and proposals on ways of organize these work training measures. Data was gathered with the help of 91 questionnaires to companies and questionnaires to 367 women in the municipality.
