Extents of fast ice digitised from satellite images

The Australian Antarctic Data Centre digitises on-screen fast ice features from satellite images as required for Australian Antarctic division scientists Dr Jonny Stark and Dr Martin Riddle and will be made available, together with a report on the digitising, when their project is published.
Features digitised include the extents of fast ice in the Windmill Islands and the Vestfold Hills area.
The data conform to the SCAR Feature Catalogue which includes data quality information. Each feature has a Qinfo number which, when entered at the 'Search datasets and quality' tab, provides data quality information for the feature.

澳大利亚南极数据中心（Australian Antarctic Data Centre）应澳大利亚南极署（Australian Antarctic Division）科学家乔尼·斯塔克博士（Dr Jonny Stark）与马丁·里德尔博士（Dr Martin Riddle）的委托，针对卫星影像中的屏幕可见固定冰（fast ice）要素开展数字化处理工作。待该研究项目正式发表后，相关数据集将连同本次数字化工作专项报告对外公开。
本次数字化处理的要素涵盖风车群岛（Windmill Islands）与维斯特弗尔德丘陵（Vestfold Hills）区域的固定冰分布范围。
本数据集符合南极研究科学委员会（Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research, SCAR）要素目录（SCAR Feature Catalogue）的规范，该目录收录了数据质量相关信息。每个要素均配有Qinfo编号，在"搜索数据集与质量"（Search datasets and quality）标签页中输入该编号，即可查询对应要素的数据质量详情。
