CBS News/New York Times Monthly Poll #1, October 1995

This poll is part of a continuing series of monthly surveys that solicit public opinion on the presidency and on a range of other political and social issues. Respondents' opinions of President Bill Clinton, Bob Dole, Colin Powell, Jesse Jackson, and Louis Farrakhan were elicited, along with opinions of the American criminal justice system and the O.J. Simpson murder trials. Those queried were also presented with a set of presidential candidate scenarios and were asked to select their most likely choices in the 1996 election. Background information on respondents includes voter registration status, political party, political orientation, education, age, sex, race, and family income.
