Replication data for Memory and microbiota-gut-brain-axis in quail

This data set was obtained from a line of Japanese quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) that shows increased behavioral and cognitive changes after a chronic stress procedure. It was used in the demonstration that chronic stress alters gut microbiota composition and that the colonization of recipient germ-free quails with the gut microbiota from a chronically stressed individual impairs the recipient quails’ memory performance.
