我们采用小RNA测序（small RNA-Seq）技术，对来自杂交小鼠多样性面板（Hybrid Mouse Diversity Panel，HMDP）的85个小鼠近交系的心脏非编码RNA进行了表征；该面板是面向心血管与代谢性状的参考资源群体。实验整体设计：选取85个雌性近交系小鼠，先以普通饲料日粮饲养8周，随后更换为高脂高糖日粮继续饲养8周，期间检测其心脏微小RNA（microRNA，miRNA）的表达水平。
