Proteome database of Serratia liquefaciens

Serratia liquefaciens is a Gram-negative, facultative anaerobic bacterium that can be commonly found in soil, water and the environment. Armed with peritrichous flagella, the bacterium is also an intestinal pathogen of humans, and is responsible for nosocomial infections. However, relatively little is known about this bacterium with regards to adaptations to the environment, and its pathogenesis mechanisms. This work presents the proteome database of S. liquefaciens by parsing its annotated proteome downloaded from UniProt. Comprising protein name, amino acid sequence, molecular weight, number of residues, and nucleotide sequence of each protein in the proteome, the resource should be useful for functional genomics studies seeking to glean deeper insights into the metabolic capability and pathogenic mechanisms of this bacterium.

液化沙雷菌（Serratia liquefaciens）是一种革兰氏阴性兼性厌氧细菌，广泛分布于土壤、水体及自然环境中。该菌带有周生鞭毛，同时也是人类肠道致病菌，可引发院内感染。然而，目前学界对该菌的环境适应性及其致病机制的认知仍相对匮乏。本研究通过解析从通用蛋白质资源数据库（UniProt）下载的注释版蛋白质组数据，构建了液化沙雷菌的蛋白质组数据库。该数据库涵盖该细菌蛋白质组中各蛋白质的名称、氨基酸序列、分子量、残基数量以及核苷酸序列，可为旨在深入解析该菌代谢能力与致病机制的功能基因组学研究提供重要支撑。
