The file BIF_uXRF.tab contains the relative elemental concentrations of Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge, and As of a drill core sample of the Kuruman BIF from core GKF01 measured by micro X-ray fluorescence. The file photoferrotroph_growth_Fe.xlsx contains the pH-dependent growth and Fe(II) oxidation data of Chlorobium ferrooxidans strain KoFox (grown in co-culture with Geospirillum sp. KoFum, labeled as KF), Chlorobium phaeoferrooxidans strain KB01 (labeled as KB), and Chlorobium luteolum strain 273 (labeled as LUT) measured by ferrozine method.
